Master Jason Mix

Jason Mix began teaching as the principal instructor of this school in 1986, making Enso Center one of the longest running schools in Redmond.
He is active in the martial arts community, sharing and training with students and instructors from many styles. Together with his wife, Sabrina, they have 2 young children who share in the joy of martial arts.

Jason has earned the ranks of 6th Degree Black Belt in Hapkido, 6th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, and a 2nd degree Black Belt in Aikido. He has 15+ years training in Tai Chi. Master Mix has been a professional martial arts instructor for 20 years. He is the main instructor for our Tai Chi and Hapkido programs.

Sabrina Mix

Sabrina Mix has earned the rank of 4th Degree Black Belt in Hapkido, 4th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, and 1st Degree Black Belt in Aikido. She has trained for 9+ years in Tai Chi. Sabrina is an instructor of TaeKwondo, Hapkido, and our Adaptive Rec. program. In addion to the martial arts, Sabrina is a fine artist and graphic designer.

Master Susan Mix

Susan Mix, began teaching as the principal instructor of the NE Seattle School in 1985, and is now a principal instructor at the Redmond location. She has two sons, Jason Mix, and Lucas Mix with her husband, Bill. She started her martial arts training with her family, and continues the tradition to this day. She is a martial arts master, having earned the ranks of 6th Degree Black Belt in Hapkido, 6th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, and a 1st Degree Black Belt in Aikido. She has trained extensively in the internal arts, including Tai Chi & Chi Kung. She is currently a main instructor of our Hapkido program. Susan is also most recently a news coorespondant for TaeKwonDo Times.

Bill Mix

Bill Mix, a Social Worker, has devoted his life to training and teaching the martial arts. He has specialized in teaching 'at risk' youth, and children with learning disabilities. He has earned the ranks of 5th Degree Black Belt in Hapkido, 4th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, and a 1st Degree Black Belt in Aikido. His personal daily training includes Tai Chi and Chi Kung. Bill currently teaches our Saturday Hapkido classes.

Brian Jones

Brian and Liesl Jones are 2 of the principal instructors at the Ellensburg school.
They have one son. They have studied for 12+ years under Masters Susan and Jason Mix. Brian Jones, a police officer, and former defense tactics instructor, has earned the ranks of 4th Degree Black Belt in Taekwon Do and 4th Degree Black Belt in Hapkido. Liesl Jones has earned the ranks of 3rd Degree Black Belt in Taekwon Do and 1st Degree Black Belt in Hapkido.

Instructor Matthew Huston, has earned the ranks of 3rd Degree Black Belt in Taekwon Do and 3rd Degree Black Belt in Hapkido.

Lucas Mix

Lucas Mix has been teaching martial arts for 21 years and holds 5th Degree
Black Belts in Hapkido and Taekwondo as well as a 1st Degree Black Belt in
Aikido. Lucas has a Doctorate in Evolutionary Biology from Harvard
University and an MDiv from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific. He
is an ordained priest in the Episcopal Church. Lucas works as a pastor,
author, and professor and teaches Tai Chi on Capitol Hill.

Jessica Bie

Jessica Bie has been practicing martial arts for 10 years. She holds a 3rd degree black belt in Hapkido and a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo. She has one son, Magnus, with husband Eric (also a black belt in Hapkido). Jessica works part-time as a Systems Analyst.

Beth Lovitt

Beth Lovitt has been a part of Enso Center since its inception. She has served as Advisory Board Member and Board Secretary. She has co-organized Enso Center’s annual fine arts show, now in its 5th year. Beth is an active member of Enso Center’s martial arts program. She is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Hapkido and a practioner of Tai Chi. She has Taekwondo students at Northshore Homeschool Networks.. Additionally, she has co-taught instructor’s seminars on effective teaching methods and learning styles. Beth has been a Washington State certified teacher since 1984.

Dan Lovitt

Dan Lovitt has been practicing martial arts since 1990. He has been a part of the Enso organization from its beginning and has served on the Advisory Board. Mr. Lovitt is an experienced and certified teacher and has recently earned a Ph.D. in education from the University of Washington. Along with his wife, Beth, Dan has led many instructors’ seminars and other courses of interest to the Enso community. He currently has a 4th degree black belt in Taekwondo and a 3rd degree black belt in Hapkido. Dan has also studied Tai Chi since 1995. Dan is currently teaching Taekwondo at Enso Center.

Galina Plyasova

Galina Plyasova was born in Vladivostok, Russia and moved to the United
states in December 2001. She has a 1st degree black belt in Aikido, and 2nd degree black belts in Hapkido and Taekwondo. She has also been practicing Tai Chi and Chi kung for several years. She is a licensed masage therapist. Galina is a main instructor in our TaeKwonDo program.

Hiram Lewis

Hiram Lewis has earned 3rd degree black belts in Hapkido and TaeKwonDo. He began his teaching career in Seattle, WA, running a successful school in the central district for many years. His personal practice includes Tai Chi, and the visual fine arts.

Beverly Corwin

Beverly Corwin has studied the art of Aikido in Japan and the US. She began teaching in the Seattle Area, as a principal Aikido instructor at Enso Dojo. Ms. Corwin is a founding board member of Enso Center.
